Carolina Catholic chats with the host of EWTN Live, Father Mitch Pacwa, SJ
For our first April show, Carolina Catholic chats with the host of EWTN Live, Father Mitch Pacwa, SJ, about his newest book from TAN Books, Commentary on the Book of Isaiah: An In-Depth Look at the Gospel of the Old Testament. In this show, Father Mitch goes into great detail explaining why this second longest book in the Bible is the Gospel of the Old Testament, why Isaiah is undoubtedly the greatest prophet in the Old Testament, and why he is considered the main prophet that we look to in the Old Testament to understand salvation and the Gospel message.
As our Easter gift to you, we are making this show available early through Holy Week as Isaiah is so prominently featured from Palm Sunday through Easter Sunday. You can listen here.
This show will air on Wilmington Catholic Radio's three stations, 91.7 FM, 93.1 FM, and 103.1 FM on Saturdays at 11 am and Sundays at 6 pm on the first two weekends of April. Carolina Catholic with two of Sophia Institute Press authors/editors
For just one weekend in March, the third weekend, we will chat with Aurelio Porfiri, editor of Joseph Cardinal Zen's Lenten Reflections. These reflections were taken from the cardinal's homilies and pastoral letters and gathered into a book containing 18 Lenten meditations to help us journey through Lent and into the Easter Season. We also chat with Catholic author, Steven Nelson, about his work, The Magdalena Prayer Book, which provides us with devotions for habitual perfect contrition.

March's Teaching Moment
During the month of March as we proceed during the Lenten season into the Easter Season, many use this time to try to become even better Catholics than we are. Here are ten ways to grow your Catholic faith during Lent:
1. Go to Confession often and at least once a month.
2. Attend a daily Mass in addition to your Sunday Mass.
3. Begin your day with the Angelus and/or the Morning Offering.
4. Read the Bible.
5. Learn the Divine Mercy Chaplet and pray it at 3 PM.
6. Do an Act of Mercy each day like the corporal or spiritual works of Mercy.
7. Pray the Rosary.
8. Make friends at church that you can share your faith with.
9. Volunteer at your parish.
10. Spend a few minutes just thinking about God and the life of Jesus.
We hope that even doing a few of these will help deepen your faith and bring you closer to Jesus.
